WoW was founded in 2005 to promote digital art works to enhance the visibility and worth of select women artists around the world. WoW’s services aim to address burning issues in the marketplace where art is concerned with specific interests in women artists whose work over the years have been mostly neglected, plagiarized, or outright stolen. Women artists the world over have been disenfranchised throughout the centuries. They deserve recognition in the 21st century and beyond. We at Wow! endeavor to bring women artists to and keep them on the world stage. Our women artists are very expressive and their works reflect the hardships and concerns that are not just gender or race-related but reflect the life and struggles of their peoples past and present. Present day artists draw from the works of those gone before them like Kathe Kollwitz, Frida Kalho, Edmonia Lewis, and Artimisia Gentileschi who were instrumental in their call for social change through their visual and intense works. Our aim is to ensure the artists participating in our program will be guaranteed a viable market for their wares and that WOW will promote their works in a fair and equitable manner. We are able to differentiate ourselves in the market because of our desire to improve the livelihood of women artists and to niche-market their works and bring awareness to the cause.
